Woodhull Truck Plaza
Old truck stop on route 17 and interstate 74 in Illinois. Back in the 70's and 8o's this was a GREAT place to come and get your gas or eat at the restaurant. The people were friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The local people loved this place. everyone liked eating here. It was THE place to go after church on a Sunday. The place was clean inside and out! This is the place where all the truckers and farmers would meet, get there fuel and have their coffee. Then back in the 90's it was sold and the place went down hill. The grass was not mowed, the parking lot was a trash can. The inside was never the clean place it once was. In every corner or empty space inside the building they put in novelty items (junk). There was so much stuff on display that two people could not walk past each other without one of them turning sideways. This was once a great place to work . It's just a memory now. Yes, I worked there back in the late 70's.

July of 2011, building up a canopy frame for my 78 chevy 4x4, just to have as a camping rig and firewood truck, and as somewhere to throw my heelers when they get to rambunctious in the single cab! I'm polyurethaning all the wood, and then I'll set up a camo tarp to button down around it, probably 3 separate tarps, one on the front, one for the top/sides, and 1 for the rear when I build up 2 doors at the back.
